Tony has over 20 years of experience in healthcare venture capital as an investor, founder, and operator. He has held pivotal roles at venture-backed healthcare companies throughout his career, including currently serving as Executive Chairman at XII Medical and Executive Chairman at ENT Specialty Partners. His portfolio companies have generated more than $20 billion in exit value through IPOs and strategic acquisitions. Tony was a co-founder and/or founding investor at MAKO Surgical, Avedro, ENTrigue Surgical, Xlumena, and Spirox; and an investor in many additional companies that have had successful exits, including Inspire Medical, Axonics, BioHaven, Devoro Medical, BardyDx and Entellus Medical.

Prior to joining Amzak in 2023, Tony was a Managing Partner at Aperture Venture Partners and, previously, a Partner at Prism Venture Partners and MDS Capital. He trained in General Surgery and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Connecticut/Hartford Hospital and received a BA from the University of Virginia, an MD from the University of Florida, and an MBA from Yale.
